Summary
An extensive medieval strip field system is situated to the east of Uphall. Rampisham. The system is partially marked on the Ordnanace Survey 1st edition map with additional field boundaries visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs. The additional boundaries were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

Full Description
An extensive medieval strip field system is situated to the east of Uphall. Rampisham. The system is partially marked on the Ordnanace Survey 1st edition map with additional field boundaries visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs [1-2]. The long axis of the strip fields runs roughly NE-SW and the additional boundaries were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.
