Full Description

A line of concrete anti tank cubes traceable for about 200 metres along the north south side of the Weymouth to London railway line between the Henry Ling printworks and the Sandringham Sports Centre, Dorchester. At its west end, the line of cubes originally ran for another c70 metres, firstly turning abruptly north east to flank the western side of former allotment gardens east of Barnes Way, then turning eastward along a short stretch of Prince of Wales Road, on its south side.The cubes are clearly visible on RAF aerial photographs dated 1947 and those along the railway are still (partly) visible on aerial photographs dated 2008. The survival of the cubes along Barnes Way is unknown. Those formerly along Prince of Wales Road have been removed.
