Summary

The Pilbox Study Group note that a Second World War Type FW3/22 pillbox is visible on the south side of Sopers Lane, opposite the south end of what is now Rugby Road, on RAF vertical photographs dated 1947.

Full Description

The pillbox appears to have been removed. Although the works shown immediately to the south in 1947 survive, the surrounding area to the north of Sopers Lane has been developed for domestic housing.
