Summary

The Pilbox Study Group note that a Second World War pillbox, probably of Type FW3/26, is visible on the shingle on the western side of Hive Beach, south of Barton Cliff Home (Burton Villas), on RAF vertical photographs dated 1948.

Full Description

The monument has been removed or destroyed by post-war shingle extraction or natural processes, and no visible trace remains. The site now lies within the National Trust Hive Beach property holding.
