Summary

The Pilbox Study Group note that a Second World War type FW3/22 pillbox formerly adjacent to the eastern side of Mudeford Road, in the north-western part of what is now the playing field of Mudeford Junior School. It was recorded at approximately this location on an annotated oblique aerial photograph from the early 1950s, and is also clear on RAF vertical photographs from 1947.

The pillbox has been removed and the site now lies on the boundary of a school playing field.
