Summary

The Pillbox Study Group note the 1958 Ordnance Survey 1:2500 map indicates the former position of a segmented, precast concrete Stanton-type air-raid shelter. Aerial photography from January 1947 shows this associated with a small dispersal of huttments.

The shelter cannot be seen on more recent aerial photography and is presumed to have been entirely destroyed.
