Monument record MDO42637 - Second World War air raid shelter west of Harry's Coppice, Tarrant Rushton
Please read our guidance about the use of Dorset Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
The Pillbox Study Group note the former position of a segmented, precast concrete Stanton-type air-raid shelter at about this location on vertical aerial photography dated January 1947. The shelter is associated with a small camp of military huts - presumably a dispersal from RAF Tarrant Rushton to the west.
