Summary

The Pilbox Study Group note that a short length of what appears to be zig-zag close-defence trench can be seen along the low cliff frontage west of Moonfleet Cottages on Royal Air Force vertical photographs dated November 1946.

The trench cannot be seen on more recent aerial photographs, and is presumed to have been infilled, or lost to cliff-front erosion.
