Summary

The Pillbox Study Group note a former Second World War infantry post at approximately this location immediately east of the base of the East Cliff Lift, as listed by M A Edgington. The post is likely to have been of relatively ephemeral, possibly primarily sandbagged construction.

The post has been removed, and possibly built-over. Its site may further have been damaged as a result of a major landslip immediately east of the Lift in 2016
