Summary

An area of linear ridges and ditches of ridge and furrow cultivation are visible as faint cropmarks on 1940s aerial photographs in a field at Combe Side, Maiden Newton. The features may be medieval or possibly post medieval in date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.

Full Description

An area of linear ridges and ditches of ridge and furrow cultivation are visible as faint cropmarks on 1940s aerial photographs in a field at Combe Side, Maiden Newton (1). The features may be medieval or possibly post medieval in date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.. They are no longer visible on current Google Earth imagery.
