Multiple groups of sub-circular pits and scarps are visible as earthworks on current Lidar imagery on the west side of Magiston Hill, Sydling St Nicholas. Some of the larger features are recorded as chalk pits on the OS 1st Edition map. The remaining features are also thought likely to be post medieval chalk pits. All features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
