Full Description
A low banked mound is visible as an earthwork on Cowdon Hill, Sydling St Nicholas (1). The feature comprises a sub-circular mound approximately 14m in diameter situated adjacent to the northeast side of a historic field boundary. The mound is covered in low vegetation.
The feature is probably a Bronze Age bowl barrow recorded under NRHE Hob UID 453107. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
The feature is clearly visible on current Google Earth imagery.
