Areas of ridged and ditched cultivation are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the east of Huish Farm, Sydling St Nicholas. The features may be those of post medieval narrow ridge and furrow and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.

Full Description
Areas of ridged and ditched cultivation are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the east of Huish Farm, Sydling St Nicholas (1). The features are narrow and regular in character and appear to correspond with the historic field pattern. They may be those of post medieval narrow ridge and furrow, although an earlier date is also possible. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
The features are no longer visible on current Google Earth imagery.
