Linear banks and scarps are visible as earthworks on current Lidar imagery on Eastfield Hill, Sydling St Nicholas. The features are recorded as a medieval field system and strip lynchets under NRHE Hob UID 453168). Some of the linear features closest to the eastern end of the south side of Eastfield Hill may alternatively be outliers of an Iron Age/Romano-British field system (MDO42951; NRHE Hob UID 868860) on the hill plateau above. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
