Summary
Narrow curvilinear banks and scarps are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and on current Lidar imagery on the west side of Sydling St Nicholas. The features may be historic field boundaries or lynchets of probable medieval date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.

Full Description
Narrow curvilinear banks and scarps are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and on current Lidar imagery on the west side of Sydling St Nicholas (1, 2). The features may be historic field boundaries or lynchets of probable medieval date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
The northernmost linear bank is no longer visible on current Google Earth imagery.
