An elongated scarped feature is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs on Sheephouse Bottom, Up Cerne (1). The feature is recorded as an old chalk pit on the OS 1st Edition map (2). It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project. The feature is under trees and no longer visible on current Google Earth imagery.
