Full Description

An old quarry is recorded on the west side of West Hanging wood, Cerne Abbas, on the OS 1st Edition map (1). The feature is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project (2, 3). The feature is below trees on Google Earth imagery and no longer visible.
