Summary
Banked linear features are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs on Crown Point, Sydling St Nicholas. The features may be medieval lynchets - possibly a continuation of a medieval field system to the south near Sydling St Nicholas (MDO42958; NRHE Hob UID 453112). The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.

Full Description
Banked linear features are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs on Crown Point, Sydling St Nicholas (1, 2). The features broadly follow the northern contour of Crown Point and may be medieval lynchets - possibly a continuation of a medieval field system to the south near Sydling St Nicholas (MDO42958; NRHE Hob UID 453112). The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
The features are still visible on Google Earth imagery.
