Summary
A group of three sub-circular ditched features are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs on North Field Hill, Sydling St Nicholas. The features are recorded as old chalk pits on the OS 1st Edition map and are probably post medieval in date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.

Full Description
A group of three sub-circular ditched features are visible as earthworks and cropmarks on 1940s aerial photographs on North Field Hill, Sydling St Nicholas (1, 2). The features are recorded as old chalk pits on the OS 1st Edition map and are probably post medieval in date. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
The features are still visible on Google Earth imagery.
