An area of ridged and ditched cultivation is visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photograph on North Field Hill, Sydling St Nicholas. The features may be those of medieval ridge and furrow, although the earthworks may alternatively be older, possibly associated with an extensive prehistoric field system (MDO2620). The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Upper Frome AIM project.
