Summary
A u-shaped enclosure of medieval or earlier date is visible as curvilinear earthworks on a 1947 aerial photograph taken to the west of Slough Farm, Rampisham. The feature contains additional linear banks and ditches that may be contemporary or later field boundaries. The features were digitally plotted during the Upper Frome and Sydling Valley AIM project.

Full Description
There are several old banks and ledge lines around Slough Farm, ST 560036, but one bank is more conspicuous then the others, forming a roughly rhomboidal enclosure. In part, it follows a parent hedge line, but at its western end running across a field as a broad bank 15-20 feet broad with a shallow outer ditch. it is broken in the centre by a 20 yard gap which may be a subsequent feature. The whole feature encloses circa 6 acres. At 550' OD on a West facing slope. (1)
