There was an alien Benedictine grange belonging to the nunnery of St Leger, Preaux, at Stour Provost. The alien cell was founded around 1070 and dissolved around 1471.

Full Description
Stour Provost was an alien cell of the Benedictines. Founded during William I's time, it was dependent on the nunnery of St Leger Preaux. The property was probably under a bailiff or Prior. It was granted to King's College, Cambridge by Edward IV. <1>
