Summary
Blandford Brewery was established in 1778. In 1883 the brewery, operated by John Hector possibly of Neame and Trew, was acquired by Hall and Woodhouse Ltd. The brewery was operated in tandem with Ansty Brewery (Monument HOB UID 1543367) until the summer of 1900 when it was destroyed by fire in 1900 whilst new premises were being built nearby. (Monument HOB UID 1514161). Ansty Brewery closed later in 1900, once the new brewery was completely operational.

Full Description
Recorded by NRIM. The old Blandford St Mary brewery stood between the present brewery and Blandford Bridge. Originally erected in 1789, it was destroyed by fire on August 14th 1900, while the present brewery was being built. (1) The site of Blandford St Mary Brewery which was established in 1778. In 1883 the brewery, operated by John Hector (2) possibly of Neame and Trew (3), was acquired by Hall and Woodhouse Ltd. The brewery was operated in tandem with Ansty Brewery (Monument HOB UID 1543367) until the summer of 1900 when it was destroyed by fire in 1900 whilst new premises were being built nearby. (Monument HOB UID 1514161). Ansty Brewery closed later in 1900, once the new brewery was completely operational. <2-3>
