Summary

A World War II type 26 pillbox located in the garden of 9, Parklands, Bryanston Street. It is square on plan, measuring 9 feet by 10 feet, constructed of brick and concrete, and has three embrasures. The structure was built in 1940-41 and formed part of the defensive system against armour coming up the Stour valley. A field visit in 1996 found the pillbox to be in a good condition.
