Full Description
This feature consists of an earth bank averaging 3.0m wide and 0.5m. high, with unsurveyable traces of a ditch on the east side of the bank. The bank is mutilated in places and heavily overgrown with brambles. 1.5m. to the west of the bank there is a modern hedge, parallel to both road and bank. Between ST 84750580 and ST 84610610 the ditch is visible and averages 1.7m. Wide and 0.3m. Deep.
The earthwork seems a doubtful antiquity, it runs with the ridge and is parallel to the parish boundary.
There is a strong possibility that it is no more than an enclosure or plantation boundary. <2>
