Full Description

A bronze socketed knife found at Hewish Farm, Milton Abbas in 1850. In the Dorset County Museum, Late Bronze Age case. Acc. No. 1885.16.1 from the Cunnington collection. <1> From Hewish Farm (ST 806001) and in the Warne collection - a bronze object which from its general shape may be a light javelin head but which from the shape of the socket and the thinness of the blade is more likely to be a knife 5 1/4 inches long 3/4 inch wide.
