Full Description
An area of post medieval water meadow at Tarrant Launceston is visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery [1-4]. The water meadow extends for a distance of over 1800m along the River Tarrant, comprising a linked system of channels and sluices, forming bedworks. The main water channels and sluic system is recorded on the OS 1st Edition 1:2500 map. The bedworks is still visible on current lidar imagery.
The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
