Summary

Two curvilinear ditched features are visible as cropmarks in a field to the northwest of Rawston Farm, Tarrant Rawston, on an aerial photograph dated 1995. The features may be sections of curvilinear enclosures of possible Iron Age/Roman date, although they may alternatively be features of modern agricultural origin. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

Two curvilinear ditched features are visible as cropmarks in a field to the northwest of Rawston Farm, Tarrant Rawston, on an aerial photograph dated 1995 [1]. The features comprise of two curvilinear ditches approximately 82m and 45m long and curving south round to west. They may be sections of curvilinear enclosures of possible Iron Age/Roman date, although they may alternatively be features of modern agricultural origin. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
