A large chalk pit is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map and is visible as earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery in the field to the SSW of Bradford Farm, Pamphill (1-3). It is over 100m across and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
