Full Description
At SY 81449660, an oval cropmark of an enclosure, approximately 48 by 37 metres overall, formed by a bank and outer ditch, is visible on air photographs. <1>
At SY 81449660 on a gentle north-east slope,is a much ploughed down enclosure measuring approximately 40.0 by 30.0 metres overall and an irregular oval in plan. No ditch can be seen on the ground and the spread of the bank (max. height 0.4 metres on the downhill side) has resulted in the interior having a slightly 'dished' appearance. There is the suggestion of a possible entrance on the south where the scarp is minimal. No date or purpose can be ascribed to the earthwork, which may be that listed by Warne and described as 'obliterated'. Surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <2>
