Full Description

A double-ditched linear boundary is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1995 (1) running NNE-SSW for over 600m. A rectilinear enclosure (MDO44066) is located at it's northern end. The eastern of the parallel ditches appears to abut (and be contemporary with) the southwest corner of the enclosure whilst the western ditch apears to skirt around the enclosure. A double ditched feature continues beyond the enclosure for 45m towards the modern hedgeline. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project and may be a continuation of the boundary described in MDO37361.
