Summary
A system of elongated parallel fields is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the northern corner of Charlton Marshall adjacent to the River Stour. Some of the bank and ditched field boundaries are marked on the Ordnanace Survey 1st edition map. It is considered to be the remains of a medieval system of strip fields and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
