Summary
A series of banked field boundaries are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and earthworks on lidar imagery to the west of Swan Way, Shapwick. They are considered to form part of a field system of uncertain (prehistoric or medieval/post medieval) date and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

Full Description
A series of banked field boundaries are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and earthworks on lidar imagery to the west of Swan Way, Shapwick [1-3]. They are considered to form part of a field system of uncertain (prehistoric or medieval/post medieval) date which covers an area of over 29 hectares and extends to the east of Swan Lane in MDO44331. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
