Banked linear features are visible as earthworks at Tarrant Rushton on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are within an area of former orchard MDO27160 but their form suggests earlier field boundaries or plots - possibly tofts and crofts associated with an area of medieval shrunken village, although a later, post-medieval origin is also possible. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Banked linear features are visible as earthworks at Tarrant Rushton on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The features are within an area of former orchard MDO27160 but do not appear to correspond with the planting rows recorded on the OS 1st Edition map [2]. Their form suggests earlier field boundaries or plots - possibly tofts and crofts associated with an area of medieval shrunken village, although a later, post-medieval origin is also possible. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
