Summary
A roofless building and several small adjacent structures are visible in a field to the east of Pimperne on an aerial photograph dated 1944. A trackway (MDO44542) is visible as an earthwork on the same photo, giving access to the building complex from Hyde Farm to the west along the north side of a historic field boundary. The features are not shown on any historic mapping, suggesting a probable late 19th century to early 20th century origin. Whether military or agricultural in nature is not certain. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description
A roofless building and several small adjacent structures are visible in a field to the east of Pimperne on an aerial photograph dated 1944 [1]. A trackway (MDO44542) is visible as an earthwork on the same photo, giving access to the building complex from Hyde Farm to the west along the north side of a historic field boundary. The features are not shown on any historic mapping, suggesting a probable late 19th century to early 20th century origin. Whether military or agricultural in nature is not certain, but the features are no longer visible on an aerial photograph dated 1947 [2]. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
