Summary
A ditched and banked linear trackway of probable Iron Age to Roman date is visible as cropmarks to the east of Blandford Camp, Tarrant Monkton, on aerial photographs. The trackway is aligned largely northeast to southwest, with southeast to northwest spurs on either side. The feature passes through an area of probable Iron Age to Roman settlement (MDO5105) and may link into a further system of trackways to the north (MDO43806) and south (MDO44559). It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description
A ditched and banked linear trackway of probable Iron Age to Roman date is visible as cropmarks to the east of Blandford Camp, Tarrant Monkton, on aerial photographs [1, 2]. The trackway is aligned largely northeast to southwest, and runs for a distance of over 1.1km, with shorter spurs on either side to the southeast and northwest. The feature passes through an area of probable Iron Age to Roman settlement (MDO5105) and may link into a further system of trackways to the north (MDO43806) and south (MDO44559). It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
