Monument record MDO44567 - Possible later prehistoric enclosure, Tarrant Monkton

A ditched sub-oval ditched feature with a ditched and banked linear feature extending southwest from its southwest side is visible as cropmarks to the east of Blandford Camp, Tarrant Monkton, on aerial photographs. The feature may be a late prehistoric enclosure of potentially Iron Age to Roman date, possibly part of a wider area of field systems (MDO44560) and settlement features (MDO44561) to the southeast, including a possible Iron Age banjo enclosure (MDO42508). The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
