Summary
A banked linear feature is visible as an earthwork to the east of Blandford Camp, Tarrant Monkton, on aerial photographs. The feature overlaps, or is overlapped by, features associated with a banjo enclosure (MDO42508) and surrounding field system (MDO44560) of probable Iron Age to Roman date. It may be a late prehistoric field boundary, whether earlier than, contemporary with, or later than, the surrounding features is uncertain. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description
A banked linear feature is visible as an earthwork to the east of Blandford Camp, Tarrant Monkton, on aerial photographs [1]. The feature comprises a right angled banked linear boundary that overlaps, or is overlapped by, further ditched linear features associated with a banjo enclosure (MDO42508) and surrounding field system (MDO44560) of probable Iron Age to Roman date. It may be a late prehistoric field boundary, whether earlier than, contemporary with, or later than, the surrounding features is uncertain. The feature is no longer visible on Google Earth or current lidar imagery. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
