Please read our guidance about the use of Dorset Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
A banked and ditched linear feature is visible as cropmarks to the west of Tarrant Monkton on aerial photographs. The feature is very straight and rectilinear in form and appears to overlie part of a later prehistoric trackway (MDO44559) and part of a later prehistoric field system (MDO5081). It is considered likely to be a field boundary of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is also possible. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
