Considerable amounts of 12th-century pottery were recovered during ploughing of a former orchard. It has been suggested that this concentration may indicate a medieval settlement.

ST 487028. Considerable amounts of C12th pottery were recovered during ploughing of a former orchard. Pottery was recovered from the whole field, but concentrated at ST 487028. This possibly indicates a settlement in the Manor of Meerhay. <1>
