An unannotated hollow is marked on the Ordnance Survey 2nd edition map to the east of Field Grove, Durweston; it is considered likely to be the site of a post medieval chalk pit. The hollow is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
