A scatter of eight extractive pits are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in two fields to the northwest of Shepherd's Corner Farm, Durweston. The features are between 9m and 45m across and considered to be post medieval chalk pits; they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
