A scatter of six extractive pits is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery within the two fields to the southwest of Shepherd's Corner Farm, Durweston. The features are between 16m and 40m across and considered to be post medieval chalk pits; they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
