Please read our guidance about the use of Dorset Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
A possible D-shaped enclosure, circa 1.4 hectares in extent, associated with a complex of linear features representing ditches and possible tracks. The enclosure is open on its eastern side. The straight side runs east-west, while the curving side runs round to the south. The complex of linear features is focused to the east of the enclosure and includes two double ditched features running roughly southwest-northeast, immediately south of the enclosure.
Possible D-shaped enclosure MDO44943 is similar in appearance and, being located immediately to the north, may be part of the same complex. Both are cut through by the Ackling Dyke Roman road.
