Fourteen hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery [1] within France Firs, Pimperne and Stourpaine. They are between 5m and 35m across and are likely to be post medieval chalk pits; they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
