Summary
An unannotated hollow is marked on the Ordnance Survey 2nd edition map within Higher Pressham Wood, Durweston; it is considered likely to be the site of a post medieval chalk pit. The hollow is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in addition to a second hollow to the east in Lower Pressham Wood. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

An unannotated hollow is marked on the Ordnance Survey 2nd edition map [1] within Higher Pressham Wood, Durweston; it is considered likely to be the site of a post medieval chalk pit.
