Summary
A linear ditched and banked hollow way or trackway is visible as an earthwork to the southeast of Tarrant Monkton on aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature runs from north to south, cutting a possible laster prehistoric or medieval hollow way at its southern end. It may also be a trackway of later prehistoric or medieval date, although a later, possibly post medieval, origin is also possible. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description
A linear ditched and banked hollow way or trackway is visible as an earthwork to the southeast of Tarrant Monkton on aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1-3]. The feature comprises a linear ditch with flanking sections of bank, which runs from north to south for around 1.15km, cutting a possible later prehistoric or medieval hollow way (MDO45223) at its southern end. It may also be a trackway of later prehistoric or medieval date, although a later, possibly post medieval, origin is also possible. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
