Full Description
A hybrid Middle/Late Bronze Age urn with cremation found when making a road near Old Lawn Farm Buildings circa 1948. In the possession of W. Lovell, Wimborne. <1>
Mr. Lovell pointed out the findspot of the urn at ST 9840 0468 and stated that he had presented it to Red House Museum, Christchurch. <2>
Middle /Late Bronze Age Collared Urn with incised chevron pattern on the collar and a ridged shoulder highlighted with neatly impressed ovals. Found at Old Lawn Farm, circa 1948, during trenching (near ST 984047), on a slight rise which suggested a ploughed-out barrow. Part of the urn is at the Pitt-Rivers Museum, Farnham. <3>
