Summary
A probable Second World War military training site, perhaps a bunker, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s but has subsequently been ploughed level. The site comprises two adjacent linear banks which each measure 5.5m wide by up to 11m long and are orientated south-west / north-east. The banks are situated near the eastern edge of a Second World Bombing range (see MDO45344) and could cover a bunker. The site has been removed by 1953 when the land had been converted to arable agriculture.

Full Description
A probable Second World War military training site, perhaps a bunker, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s but has subsequently been ploughed level. The site is centred at ST 9612 1135 and comprises two adjacent linear banks which each measure 5.5m wide by up to 11m long and are orientated south-west / north-east.
The banks are situated at the eastern edge of a Second World Bombing range (see ST 91 SE 248 / UID: 1481331) and could cover a bunker. The site has been removed by 1953 when the land had been converted to arable agriculture. <1-2>
