A post medieval extractive pit to the south of Chalkpit Copse, Corfe Mullen, is visible as an earthwork on Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. The feature is documented as a chalk pit on the OS 1st Edition map where it shows the chalk pit and a trackway leading to it from a track to the west [2]. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
